Henry Clay Hickman Sr., a devoted father, cherished friend, and pillar of the community, left this world on March 24, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on March 9, 1929, in the quaint town of Kaufman(Little Egypt), Texas, Henry spent his life embodying the virtues of hard work, kindness, and unwavering faith.

As the owner of a Mobile gas station, a pastor, and a skilled truck driver as well as an auto and diesel mechanic, Henry’s multifaceted career reflects a man of incredible dedication, intelligence, and resourcefulness. He was not just a businessman; he was a nurturer of relationships. A friendly soul, Henry had a remarkable ability to connect with others—his charm beckoned friendships wherever he went, as he truly never met a stranger. His warmth and genuine care for those around him made him a beloved figure in the community, a man whose selflessness knew no bounds.

Family was the cornerstone of Henry’s life. He took immense pride in raising his children, pouring love, wisdom, and unwavering support into their upbringing. His dedication to family extended beyond the immediate, encompassing all who were fortunate enough to know him. From family road trips that created memories etched in their hearts to evenings spent reading and studying God’s Word, he shared life’s simplest pleasures with those he loved most, nurturing bonds that will forever shine brightly in their memories.

Henry’s life was a testament to his profound spirituality. His love for the Lord and commitment to the church were pillars that guided him through life’s trials and triumphs. It was in his church community that his legacy of giving and selflessness flourished. Funeral services will be held on March 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Grace Fellowship COGIC in Dallas, TX. A viewing will take place at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas on March 28, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, allowing all who knew him a moment to pay their respects and celebrate the life of this remarkable man. Henry will be laid to rest at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery on March 31, 2025, at 10:00 AM, where his spirit will join the ceaseless love he has spread throughout his incredible journey.

Henry Clay Hickman Sr. leaves behind a profound legacy of love, faith, and community spirit, and while he may no longer walk among us, the echoes of his laughter and the warmth of his generosity will forever resonate in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
