On a cold day in Pecos, Texas, December 19, 1953, Reverend W.P. and Lois Huey Eaton became the proud parents of Anthony Louis Eaton, the baby of twelve children.  His parents and ten siblings preceded him in death.

At the age of 9, Anthony was baptized by his father at St. John Baptist Church in Mangum, Oklahoma where his father Pastored.  Anthony acknowledged his call to the ministry when he was thirteen.  At the age of seventeen, he was ordained and called to his first church: Pleasant Hill Baptist in Henrietta, Texas.  After the funeral of his father, the church called him to be their pastor.

The family moved to Vernon, Texas in 1963 where Anthony Attended Vernon Public Schools.  He attended Bishop
College for three years and Oklahoma School of Religion.  He later served in the United States Military (Army).

The Lord blessed him to build and pastor several churches: Mt. Zion Baptist, Seymour, Texas Macedonia Baptist, Altus, Oklahoma New Jerusalem Baptist, Plainview, Texas Galilee Baptist, Shawnee, Oklahoma Shady Grove Baptist, Roland, Oklahoma New Hope Baptist, Van Buren, Arkansas.

Because of his failing health, he continued assisting and mentoring other ministers.  Anthony was Assistant Dean of Progressive West Texas Congress of Christian Education, Moderator of Antioch Consolidated District of Arkansas.

Anthony’s main goal in life was to get others to know Christ and be able to HELP SOMEBODY.

He was employed by The Golden Gate Funeral Home and Crematory.

Anthony heard the voice of our Heavenly Father calling his faithful servant home on Tuesday, April 30th, at 5:30 p.m. joining his parents, Brenda and other siblings.
