Born on October 19, 1942, on Sicily Island, Louisiana, Jessie lived a life filled with warmth, hard work, and a deep passion for the people around her.

Jessie was known for her friendly demeanor and her unwavering commitment to those she loved. Her career in management at a local bowling center was marked by her impeccable work ethic and her ability to connect with others. Jessie truly enjoyed her job, where her friendly personality shone through, making her a treasured presence among colleagues and patrons alike.

A talented artist and an avid sports fan, Jessie had a range of hobbies that brought her joy. She took pride in being the first African American to join the Buzzard Bowling League, a testament to her trailblazing spirit. Jessie’s love for bowling extended beyond competition; it was a social outlet where she built lasting friendships and shared laughter. Alongside bowling, she found pleasure in fishing, completing puzzles, and collecting cards, which reflected her diverse interests and vibrant personality.

As a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and a follower of basketball legend Michael Jordan, Jessie embraced the excitement of sports with enthusiasm, often sharing spirited conversations and debates about her favorite teams and players with family and friends.

Visitation services for Jessie Drone Brown will be held on February 27, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas.

Jessie’s legacy will undoubtedly continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her, as they remember her as a friendly, hardworking individual who loved people deeply. She leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories that will be cherished by her family, friends, and community.
