In loving memory of LINDA DIANN HOLMES-KING, a vibrant spirit who embraced life with fervor and passion, we gather to commemorate her extraordinary journey, which began on August 10, 1952, and concluded on October 23, 2024. Linda’s life was a tapestry woven with threads of love, joy, and an indomitable spirit that inspired all who crossed her path.

As a proud matriarch, Linda took immense pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They were her greatest accomplishments and the source of her unwavering joy. Her legacy of love will forever be echoed in the hearts of those she cherished most. Filled with courage and a strong will, Linda poured her heart and soul into every moment, leaving an indelible imprint of strength and resilience.

Renowned for her outspoken and outgoing personality, Linda brought light into every gathering, whether large or small. She was a force of nature, possessing an innate ability to lift the spirits of everyone around her. Friends and family alike will remember her fashionable flair that shone through in every outfit she wore, adding a beautiful dash of color to both her life and the lives of those who loved her.

Linda’s passions were ever-present—she loved to take pictures, capturing moments like the fleeting essence of fragrance that lingers long after the source is gone. R&B music filled her days, each note resonating within her soul as she danced through life. From the peak of majestic mountains to the shores of shimmering waters, she relished every opportunity to travel, embarking on adventures that painted her world with experiences rich with memories.

A beloved tradition was the yearly family gatherings in Mt. Vernon and Mt. Pleasant, where laughter echoed and stories unfolded like the pages of a cherished book. These moments were integral to Linda’s life, as she gathered her family close, sharing delicious soul food that nourished not only their bodies but their souls. Each encounter was a reminder of the bonds that tethered them together, the love that united them as one.
