OBIT: CYNTHIA FELEECE BAKER- OKAFOR

Cynthia Feleece Baker-Okafor, a beacon of love, caring, and family orientation, departed this world on July 5, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on February 6, 1959, Cynthia’s journey through life was characterized by her unwavering dedication to her loved ones and her innate ability to illuminate even the darkest of days with her vibrant spirit.

Her life was a tapestry woven with threads of compassion, humor, and devotion to her family, reflecting a warmth that enveloped all who were privileged to know her. As an epitome of nurturing, Cynthia extended her kindness not only to those connected by blood, but to all who crossed her path, leaving an indelible mark upon their hearts. Her presence was a comforting balm, a testament to her profound understanding of the human experience.

The legacy Cynthia leaves behind is one of deep familial bonds and cherished memories. She nurtured a close-knit family environment that served as a support system for her loved ones, understanding that the strength of her relationships blossomed from her caring nature. As we gather to celebrate her life, we invite all to partake in the viewing on July 17, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas, a fitting place for a soul so luminous. The following day, family and friends will come together for a solemn funeral service at Cedar Crest CME Church, commencing at 1:00 PM and concluding at 2:00 PM. In these moments, we will honor and cherish the spirit of a woman whose life was dedicated to offering love and compassion to others.

Cynthia Feleece Baker-Okafor may have departed from our sight, yet her essence will forever resonate within the hearts of those she touched. As we bid farewell, we do so with gratitude for the light she brought into our lives, knowing that her spirit will continue to guide us in the days that lie ahead.
