With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Chanen Christopher Lewis, who departed this world on August 16, 2026, at the age of 37. Born on January 8, 1989, Chanen’s journey through life was marked by a luminous kindness and a vivacious spirit that left everyone he encountered forever changed.

To know Chanen was to witness a soul for whom no heart was unreachable, no stranger unworthy of friendship, and no hurt too small for compassion. His innate warmth enveloped all who crossed his path; a true people person, Chanen never met a stranger, greeting the world with open arms and a ready smile. His caring nature, paired with an unwavering faith, defined not just his character but the way he lived every day—a God-fearing man for whom grace was both a calling and a gift.

Dancing brought Chanen joy and allowed his effervescent personality to shine in ways words could hardly describe. Whether he was gently guiding others as an interim pastor or offering support while working with the youth, Chanen found his purpose in service. His ability to meet people exactly where they were, often in life’s most vulnerable moments, will remain one of his most profound legacies.

Of all his compassionate acts, perhaps none were more emblematic than his commitment to praying for hospice patients. In those quiet, sacred moments, Chanen offered solace, hope, and love, providing comfort to individuals and their families—a testament to the depth of his empathy and the reach of his faith.

Chanen’s memory will continue to be a beacon for all who knew him. Through his kindness, his laughter, his dancing, and his prayers, he leaves behind a legacy defined by love and connection. His impact stretches far beyond his years, lingering softly in the lives he touched and the hearts he uplifted.
