100-Drone Light Show & Fireworks Spectacle Kick Off North Texas Summer in Wilmer

Regional celebration drawing crowds south for food, fun, and fireworks

“Sparks in Wilmer shines as a defining moment for our community,” said Mayor Sheila Petta. “With drones and fireworks lighting the sky, we celebrate not only summer’s arrival but also the continued growth and spirit of Wilmer.”

The event coincides with Governor Abbott’s announcement, which highlights Wilmer’s economic expansion, including the JPMS Headquarters development, further establishing the city as a rising hub in North Texas.

“The 100‑drone show allowed us to create stunning visual storytelling in the sky,” said Kristin Downs, spokesperson for the City of Wilmer. “Combined with the fireworks, it was truly unforgettable.”
