Grind Pretty Fest, a dynamic event celebrating female entrepreneurs and throwback ’90s/’00s culture, is looking to take Houston by storm this weekend– in a good way.
Now in its fourth year, the day-long event will feature a who’s who of personalities along with empowering workshops, a $5K elevator pitch competition, and awards spotlight to help women not only build their businesses, but their legacies.
Honorees include:
- Nicole Handy: TV personality and CEO of Braden Real Estate Group
- DomiNque Perry: Acclaimed actress
- Dr. Tragil Wade-Johnson, founder of America’s Big Sisters and sister of NBA legend Dwayne Wade
- April Showers, Afo Unicorn.
- Nathalie Nicole: Health and lifestyle entrepreneur
- Kim Roxie: Founder of Lamik Beauty
Celebrity makeup artist Mimi Johnson first launched the event in Atlanta as part of her Grind Pretty platform and community for women entrepreneurs. The serial beauty entrepreneur has often partnered with her celeb clientele, such as Angela Simmons, and other female founders to bring unique offerings to the market.
Grind Pretty Fest is her way of empowering other beauty bosses to do the same.
“I’m thrilled to see the event’s continued growth and reach,” said Johnson. “It’s such a blessing to have such amazing women come together and help each other out and build together!”
Grind Pretty Fest – Houston Remix takes place Saturday, Sept. 14 at 1125 Providence St in Houston, TX. For more information or tickets, visit grindpretty.com.
