The “You Can Live Again” Expo & Awards is looking break the stigma by amplifying conversation around mental health and self-wellness. On May 18, the day-long expo will provide an empowering, safe space for individuals to connect with community, share their stories, and access resources.
There will be a series of panel discussions helmed by area personalities and thought leaders. Featured guests include Erin Hunter (Good Morning Texas), Ellie Breaux (Miss Texas and Miss America 2024 runner up), and LeeAnne Locken (Real Housewives of Dallas).
“This is going to be an exciting experience for so many attendees,” said Kertrina Duaway, award-winning philanthropist and expo founder. “My journey of healing and helping myself was the catalyst to my abilities to then help others to manifest their purpose. My goal is to let people know that no matter what they have done in life — whether it’s mistakes or distractions — that they can live again.”
The expo also features an award component, honoring individuals who have transformed adversity into triumph and left a lasting, positive impact on others’ lives, along with musical performances by R&B veterans Avery Sunshine and Evelyn “Champagne” King.
The “You Can Live Again” Expo & Awards is schedule for May 18, 10am to 4pm at Gilley’s Dallas. For more information, visit youcanliveagain.net.
