Ethel Louise Womack (Moore) was born October 25, 1935, to Robert and Pearlie Bailey in Dallas, Texas. Standing every bit of 4’9 and weighing about 90lbs, she was in stature the opposite of the “Tyler Perry’s Madea” you see on big screen. Still, she was affectionately known by many as “Madear”.
She was educated in the Dallas Independent School District. She attended Lincoln High School and received her Associate Degree in Nursing from El Centro College in Dallas, TX.
She married the love of her life Charles Andrew Jackson Sr. on February 14, 1952, and was the mother of five children, Jacqueline Louise Jackson, Sheryl Ann Collins, Charles Andrew Jackson Jr., Glenn Anthony Jackson and Kenneth Lamont Jackson.
Her favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys and would often assume the role of being their “#1 fan”, even when they were losing. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing dominoes with friends in person and online. She was very tech savvy, commenting and posting every now and again on Facebook.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Sheryl (Donald), her son Glenn, daughter-n-law Jackie Jackson, her seven grandchildren, Derrick L. Walker Sr (Gayle), Lateachia Moore, Kerry Moore (Nicki), Nickie Williams, Rowmekia Perkins, Carlas Jackson and Tarwin Walker and her eleven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, several nephews, nieces, a host of loved ones and friends.
She’s proceeded in death by her father, mother, two sons and daughter, four brothers, one sister and two great-grandchildren.
