HBCUs Morehouse College and Kentucky State University to Play in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA – The Chattanooga Lookouts and BCSG 360 announced today they will host the Scenic City Diamond Classic on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at AT&T Field. The Scenic City Diamond Classic will feature HBCUs Morehouse College (Atlanta, GA.) and Kentucky State University (Frankfort, KY).

The two schools will play a single game on Saturday. The contest will begin at 1:00 p.m. The gates at AT&T Field will open at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Fans have three ticket options for the Scenic City Diamond Classic:

• Adult Ticket – $10 includes entry for game.
• Youth Ticket – $5 includes entry for game.
• Premium Ticket – $25 includes entry for game, food and beverage voucher and party deck access.

Morehouse College will serve as the away team for the game and Kentucky State University will be the home team for the game.

The Scenic City Diamond Classic will also feature a fan fest preceding the game consisting of HBCU admission representatives, job vendors and Negro League baseball player Dennis Biddle will be on hand. Dennis Biddle played for the Chicago American Giants. Biddle is most known for making his debut in 1953 as the Giants’ pitcher when he was only 17 years old. The Scenic City Diamond Classic, soon to be a Chattanooga college baseball tradition, has something that appeals to the entire family.

The Chattanooga Lookouts are the Double-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds and play at AT&T Field. The Lookouts home opener is scheduled for Tuesday, April 12 when the Lookouts welcome the Birmingham Barons.
