Tyler Robinson was reportedly identified by his father through surveillance images

UTAH – Somewhere deep within the narrative surrounding Charlie Kirk’s murder this past Wednesday, there is a truth.
Kirk, a husband, father of two children, American conservative political activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA was murdered, Wednesday, September 10 in Utah while addressing an outdoor audience at Utah Valley University.
Kirk spoke to students from both political parties on college campuses across America. He often spoke from a Christian perspective, but rational individuals on both sides of the aisle agreed he was reasonably and respectful no matter who he was speaking with during his audience participation conversations.
Friday, officials identified 22-year-old Tyler Robinson as the suspect in the murder.
Utah’s Gov. Spencer Cox said he believed Robinson acted alone.
Robinson was arrested on suspicion of aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily harm, and obstruction of justice charges. He is being at the Utah County Jail without bail.
Robinson supposedly told a family friend after the shooting he was responsible according to Cox.
Robinson’s father reported he had seen surveillance photos and recognized his son. He told The Associated Press he had encouraged his son to turn himself in to authorities.
Robinson’s father also said he called a youth pastor to talk with his son. The youth pastor was somehow a U.S. Marshals task force officer. From there the information was reportedly communicated to the FBI.
Mainstream media also quickly veered off topic accusing FBI director Kash Patel of taking credit that was not due instead of keeping focus on the bigger picture of division and hate between both sides of the aisle in this latest incident.
After the murder, views among Americans have been divided from “He deserved to be murdered because of his stance on guns” to “Kirk will be remembered as the modern day MLK.”
Some Republicans have spoken out stating Democrats want to ban guns until that side of the aisle uses a gun for violence.
Many Democrats have also spoken out stating they cannot be part of a political affiliation that condones these actions.
Either way, Gov. Cox, made an emotional plea for all Americans to use the horror of this murder to turn the United States away from political violence and division.
“This is our moment: Do we escalate or do we find an off-ramp? It’s a choice,” Cox said.
Robinson attended Dixie Technical College in St. George, Utah in the electrical apprenticeship program. According to a spokesperson for Utah Valley University, Ellen Treanor, he attended Utah State University for one semester in 2021.
State and federal court records do not show any prior criminal activity connected to Robinson.
Utah state records also indicate Robinson was a registered voter with no political affiliation.
