Dr. Cathy Moffitt’s powerful conference, “Rooted in Faith, Flourishing in Grace,” drew a crowd of hundreds to Friendship-West Baptist Church as she celebrated more than 30 years of impactful ministry. The event brought together an inspiring assembly of prominent women leaders, including Dr. Sheila Bailey, Dr. Cynthia Mickens Ross, and Dr. Wanda Bolton-Davis.
Hosted by WFAA’s Rebecca Lopez, the day featured a dynamic panel discussion with influential voices such as Dr. Jill Waggoner, Dr. Janice Beal, Bethany Wilkins, Christina Howell, and Destiney Ross. The panel addressed vital topics such as mental health, self-care, and navigating personal health crises. In a particularly moving moment, panelist Bethany Wilkins—who was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago, shared her journey of empowerment and the strength she found in setting boundaries, even when it meant saying no to loved ones, including her own mother.
