WHAT: Getting in front of industry decision makers is probably the toughest challenge for those seeking careers in modeling, acting, singing and dancing.
With a mission to help people succeed in all areas of life, the Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center will host the seventh-annual Open Model and Talent Call on Saturday, July 12, for models, actors, singers and dancers ages 16 and up. One recent participant received an impressive 37 callbacks during a national modeling expo. Another, Keva Raiford, went on to appear in the hit TV series Landman. Past participants have also landed contracts with agencies like Kim Dawson, earning thousands per shoot and even collaborating with stars like Gwen Stefani.
The call is hosted by Dallas-based Willie Johnson of J3 Productions, a fashion show production and modeling management company whose mission is “to find the diamond in the rough and make him or her shine.”
The chosen individuals will spend 12 weeks working with Johnson and will receive professional head shots and other support. J3 Production will serve as the mother agency, with Johnson introducing the individuals to other regional and national agencies.
