William Earl Fore, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and faithful servant of the Lord, entered peacefully into eternal rest on December 20, 2024, at 82. 

He was born on October 28, 1942, in Dallas, Texas, to Ruby Lee Allen and Lester Fore.

At an early age, William accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, guided by the Christian teachings instilled in him by his mother, Ruby Allen Mayes. He continued his spiritual walk by uniting with St. Phillip Baptist Church in Celina, Texas, eventually ordained as a deacon under the leadership of Rev. Reed. 

Through the years, William’s service to the Lord extended to Solid Rock Baptist Church, where he served under Rev. Alvin Turner, Sr.

He eventually found his church home at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Denton, Texas, under the leadership of Rev. Mark Chew. Here, he became not only a member, but Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent and member of the Male Choir. 

William continued to serve at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Homer Webb, II, until his earthly departure. He was a man of faithful service, finding joy and fulfillment in praising God.

William received formal education at Fred Moore High School in Denton. William believed in the value of hard work and never retired, often saying that staying busy was the key to his health and vitality.

In 1964 , he married Mencie Kay Ross. From their union came five daughters: Valecia, Sharon, Deidre, Michele, and Shelsea. His daughters were his pride and joy, and he impressed upon them a spirit of service and excellence.

In 1984, he married Ivy “Susie” Chancellor. He embraced her two sons, Ryan and Reggie, as his own, becoming a proud and loving bonus dad. William and Susie were married for 38 years, extending their love throughout their blended families.

Known for his wisdom, humility, and unwavering faith, William was a pillar of strength to his family and a source of inspiration to all who knew him. His life was a testament to the love and grace of God, and his legacy of faith and service continues to shine brightly among the family.

Outside of his faith and family, William was known for his vibrant personality and unmistakable sense of style. 

Always dressed to impress, he was never without his signature black cowboy hat and boots, embodying a unique charm that matched his warm spirit. His love for riding motorcycles and sipping on an ice-cold Coca-Cola added to the charisma and joy he brought to every room. 

An active 82-year-old, William didn’t let any “grass” grow under his feet. He was known to “turn some corners, driving himself to see family and friends, cruises, various airplane rides and road trips throughout the USA. He was present at games, family functions, birthdays, and Holiday parties.

He made an intentional effort to be present in everyone’s lives and would often make daily or weekly calls to his family, even if he just left a message, you would know he was thinking about you. He embraced life to the fullest, creating memories that reflected his boundless energy and love for new experiences.

William’s legacy will live on through his children: Valecia, Sharon (Earl), Deidre (Talmage), Michele (Columbus), Shelsea (Billy), Ryan (Bernadine), and Reggie (Shantel): grandchildren, great-grandchildren. He leaves an indelible mark as Big brother to his siblings Dorothy Reddick, James (Lillian) Fore and Rev. Paul (Linda) Wilson. 

He will be remembered forever as Uncle Don to his host of nieces, nephews and their children. He will forever be adored by his Aunt Betty Douglas and Aunt Mary Allen. His memory will live on as Deacon Fore to his and extensive friends and church families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Fore and Ruby Lee Allen, mother of his “girls” Mencie Kaye Fore, his wife “Susie” Fore and granddaughter, Jasmine Fore.
