BETTY ROSE CARTER, a cherished member of the Dallas community and a dedicated professional passed away peacefully on November 21 2024. Born in DeRidder, Louisiana, on June 4, 1958, Betty was a beacon of strength and compassion throughout her life.

Betty served with the Dallas Police Department, where she retired after a long and career. Her contributions to public safety and her unwavering commitment to her community made a lasting impact on those around her. She also worked for JP Morgan Chase for 22 years. She was known not only for her professionalism but also for her kindness and dedication to helping others.  Betty served as an Election Judge for Dallas County. She was married for 43 years to Gregory Carter. She has 4 children, 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. 

A viewing for Betty will be held on December 7, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75224. Following the viewing, family and friends are invited to join in a Celebration of Life service at the same location, beginning at 11:00 AM and concluding at 12:00 PM.

Betty will be laid to rest at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on December 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM, where she will receive full military honors for her years of dedicated service.

Her memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Betty Rose Carter lived a life of service and love, leaving behind a legacy that will inspire generations.
