Pastor Tommy L. Brown’s 10th Anniversary Celebration at New Mount Zion Baptist Church was held yesterday at 9550 Shepherd Rd. Dallas, TX.
Metro News was among the hundreds who joined the celebration, featuring Pastor Michael Turner of Original Harvest MBC in Cleveland, OH as the guest speaker.
Dr. Brown is a 1980 graduate of Ennis High School and received an Associate of Arts Degree in Business and Computer Science from Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas in 1982. He studied for 4 years at Southern Bible Institute in Dallas, Texas, and received his Bachelor’s (April 1997), Master’s (April 1999), and Doctorate (Cum Laude, 2003) Degrees in Theology from Andersonville Baptist Theological Seminary.
Dr. Brown was named Minister of the Year in Dallas, Texas by the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance (IMA) in 2016. He was honored as a “Game Changer” in Dallas and listed in “Who’s Who of Black Dallas” in 2016.
A mentor, community activist, and leader, Dr. Brown is concerned about the growth and development of society.
He is the author of “Activate Your Faith” and is married to his high school sweetheart, Ruth Chanel Morris. They have three children: Veronica, Angela, and Joshua, and two grandchildren: Ariyah and Josiah.
