Congratulations to Frisco ISD Emerson High School senior Evana Coleman on being one of the first four recipients in the country awarded the Regents Merit Scholarship from Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) in Prairie View, Texas. This full-ride academic scholarship is valued at $101,000 and is the highest award the university offers to distinguished incoming freshmen. PVAMU representatives showed up on Sept. 26, 2024 to present Evana with the award during the school day. Evana is the youngest daughter of Texas Metro News’ Lifestyle & Culture Editor, Eva D.
