Dream Ball gala celebrates legends and supports the future

She’s still making magic happen for students! Lady Magic Nancy Lieberman’s 13th annual Dream Ball brought out some of the greatest in sports to raise funds in support of scholarships, Dream Courts and more through Nancy Lieberman Charities.
Each year, Texas Metro News’ Lifestyle & Culture Editor Eva D. Coleman coordinates the student paparazzi along the red carpet. Lieberman and Coleman have collaborated on this idea since the inception of the event. Rockwall ISD media students from Gene Burton College & Career Academy greeted guests with camera flashes and smiles as they entered the ballroom at The Factory in downtown Dallas.
Dream Ball 2024 honorees were Dallas Mavericks’ Coach Jason Kidd, Iowa college women’s basketball legend Lisa Bluder, Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia and longtime supporter Carla Rosenberg. Kidd received the Lifetime Achievement Award, Bluder the Inspirational Award, Chief Garcia the Toby Keith American Hero Award and Rosenberg the Heart of Dream Ball Award. The evening also included a special red Solo cup memorial tribute to country music legend Toby Keith, a friend of Lieberman, who died earlier this year. Scholarship recipients received custom jackets by Reveal Suits in a touching onstage ceremony.
Lots of sports icons were in the building along with Nancy Lieberman Charities‘ sponsors, supporters and friends. Nancy Lieberman consistently shows an unwavering commitment to our future.
