Staging Success, a Coppell student-founded, nonprofit organization committed to showcasing local Coppell talent, has marked a significant achievement with the successful execution of its second major event.

The event, held on July 31, “Groovin on the Green,” demonstrated the organization’s dedication to its mission of empowering individuals through creative expression.

Attendees were treated to a lineup of exceptional singing performances by high schoolers. The singers even had a live piano accompanist who was also in high school, but was able to keep up just as well as a professional.

This was an event that clearly highlighted the exception-al talent and potential within the community. The occasion served as both a celebration of artistic achievement and a testament to the power of community support and involvement.

Since its creation, Staging Success has aimed to provide opportunities and platforms for students to express themselves and develop their artistic skills. The organization’s latest event further reflected its impact simply through the collective effort of volunteers, supporters, and participants who contributed to its ongoing success.

This organization was founded by high school student Sid Gunasekaran, who has a lengthy background in both business, and performing arts. It is clear that his passions were combined to create the beautiful outcome that has been Staging Success. As Sid will now be attending college, he plans to pass down this nonprofit to another high schooler, and friend, who he believes will represent him and his community well through the art of performance.

As Staging Success continues to build on its accomplishments, the nonprofit looks forward to expanding its reach and furthering its mission to inspire and uplift individuals through the arts.

Mira Daniel is a senior at Coppell High School. In her free time, she performs on stage and listens to music. She is working on a new short film.
