Opal Annette Smith, a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) known for her compassionate care and unwavering commitment to helping others, passed away on July 27, 2024, in Dallas, the very city where she was born on April 18, 1965.

Opal’s journey in life was defined by her role as a caregiver, a profession she excelled in with kindness and empathy. Her legacy of service will be remembered and cherished by all those lives she touched during her impactful career.

Having graduated from South Oak Cliff High School, Opal had to educate herself through her experiences and interactions with those around her. She believed in lifelong learning and personal growth, which reflected in the way she approached both her professional and personal life.

Family and friends of Opal Annette Smith are invited to pay their respects at the upcoming services planned in her honor. The viewing will take place at the Golden Gate Funeral Home and A Crematory in Dallas on August 1, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A Prayer Service will follow at the same location starting at 6:00 PM on the same day.

The Funeral Service to celebrate Opal’s life will be held on August 2, 2024, commencing at 12:00 PM at Zion Missionary Baptist Church located at 4805 Bonnie View Road, Dallas. Following the service, interment arrangements will be made for close family members.

In addition to being an exceptional caregiver and professional, Opal was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Opal is survived by her loving family members who will forever hold her memory dear in their hearts. Though she may no longer be physically present, her spirit lives on through the memories shared by those who had the privilege of knowing such a remarkable individual.

May we find solace in remembering Opal Annette Smith for the joy she brought into our lives and the positive impact she made on others during her time with us. Rest peacefully, dear Opal; your light will forever shine bright in our hearts.
