Rufus Adolphus Turner, a beloved soul who graced this world with his warmth and kindness, has departed from us on June 8, 2024. Born on June 26, 1932, Rufus lived a life filled with love, laughter, and profound moments that will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

In journey through life, Rufus served in the Army with honor and dedication, showcasing his unwavering commitment to serving his country. He was not only a soldier but also a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. His presence brought light and joy into the lives of those around him.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Rufus were touched by his affectionate nature and his passion for family. He found joy in simple pleasures like playing dominoes and shooting pool, often enjoying these activities surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of his home. A hard worker by nature, Rufus instilled values of perseverance and devotion in all aspects of his life.

As we mourn the loss of Rufus Adolphus Turner, we also celebrate the beautiful legacy he leaves behind. His memory will forever be treasured by his surviving family members including his loving wife, children, grandchildren, as well as a host of other relatives and friends who were touched by his presence.

A viewing will take place on June 27, 2024 at the Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas where friends and family can pay their last respects to this remarkable individual. The funeral service to honor Rufus will be held on June 28, 2024 11:00 AM at the Tabernacle of Praise Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas

Though Rufus may have bid farewell to this earthly realm, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace knowing that he was truly loved and adored by many.
