HerStory Awards in honor of Women’s History Month

Introduction of the HerStory Award by Laura Hornbeck, Global Women’s Peace Network Representative of the DFW area.

HerStory Awards Honorees:

Dr. Elba Garcia- In recognition of her exceptional personal achievements, highly regarded contribution as an elected official, and for being an inspirational role model to women from all walks of life.

Apryl Davis- In recognition of her passionate devotion to helping others struggling with substance abuse and homelessness and her public service with the City of Dallas.

Norma Adams-Wade- In recognition of her pioneering efforts in journalism to shine a much-needed positive light on the African-American community and for using her skills to encourage others to achieve success.
