Jessie Milton was born October 9, 1933 to Elijah and Maxie Lee (Black) Milton in Palestine Texas. He was one of thirteen children. He attended Anderson County Public schools. Once moving to Dallas Texas he met and married in Holy matrimony July 1956 and unto this union a daughter was born Debbie Milton.
Jessie was a jack of all trades. He worked as a mechanic an installer of gas pumps for gas stations of an oil company and most of all a hardworking, dedicated landscaper of over fifty years. He also loved having discussions about the bible and working on his farm in East, Texas weather it was fixing fences, planting a garden or feeding and tending to his cows.
He was a member of the Lighted Church of Prayer which later became First Church of Redemption and it was there he became an ordained minister.
He is preceded in death by his parents Elijah and Maxie Lee Milton, Lonnie Milton (wife) and brothers Samuel Milton, Elijah Milton, Clifford Milton, Leslie (Bill) Milton, George Milton, George Ray Milton, Lawrence Alford Milton, two sisters Mozelle and Lucille Milton.
Those he leaves to cherish his memory are (daughter) Debbie Milton Pollard, three sister’s Junieve Johnson of Palestine Texas, Norissa Dial, Mary Crowe both of Tyler, Texas, a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
