Marilyn McGill born on May 19, 1954, to the union of the late Tommie Lee Franklin, Sr. and Lena Hill Franklin.
She received her formal education from Lincoln High School. Her life exemplified one of the greatest commandments – love. The love of God was first and foremost in her life, followed by the love of her family and friends. Marilyn accepted Christ in her life and served the Lord until the time of her transition. She was a member of Southern Crest Full Gospel Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, where she served on the Health Care Minister.
Marilyn departed this life on Friday, December 16, 2022, and preceded in death by her husband Maurice McGill, brother Tommie Lee Franklin, Jr. and her sister in love Linda Fisher. She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters Camestra Livingston (Waymon), Lakeisha Holloway; six grandchildren Marcus Franklin, Desmin Adams, Ralph Adams, Jr. (Ebony) Dionte Adams (Tailor), LaKenya Franklin-Robinson, Kennetra Holloway; one brother, Michael Franklin; five sisters, Sandra Franklin, Brenda Franklin, Joyce Franklin, Rita Franklin, and Deborah Franklin; four nephews, James Kenneybrew, Samuel Franklin (Claudia), Terrance Franklin, Muryid Franklin, and Lorenzo Colston; four nieces, Tonya Johnson, Trina Johnson, Shamonica Alexander (Brian), and Nyasha Franklin; host of great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and her special great granddaughter her girl Dream; God children Antoine Douglas, Phyllis Brown and Tyrah Owens; Bonus Daughter, Lisa Andrews (Anthony); best friend for over 40+ years Jannie Cawthorne; extended families, Miles-Brown, Brantley, and Walter; and a host of family and friends.
