Former Texas State Representative Jasmine Crockett will be sworn in as a member of Congress, today at 11:00a.m. CST, representing the 30th Congressional District, which has only been held by Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, who retired after 30 years. Crockett earned her BA in Business Administration from Rhodes College, and her JD from University of Houston. She is licensed to practice law in Texas, Arkansas, and Federal Courts. Crockett is the past Bowie County Democratic Party Chair, holds various leadership positions within the legal community, former board member of the Dallas County Metrocare Services, and is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
