Katina Tyshawn Levingston, affectionately known by others as “Tina” or “Teenie” passed away in the early morning of November 26, 2022, after suffering through a tiresome, painful, yet courageous battle with stomach cancer. She was only 49 years old. Tina was born to the late Felix Louis Levingston (U.S. Army) and Alberta Rosetta Levingston on August 17, 1973. Although she was born in Lawton, Oklahoma, she lived most of her life on the Eastside of Fort Worth, Texas.
Throughout her life she was known by her family, friends, coworkers, and acquaintances as someone with a bright smile, an infectious laugh, and having a gentle spirit. In her younger years, she had developed a love for all things beauty—cutting and styling her own hair with her closest friends and creating her own fashion forward threads. She also had a love for makeup and ‘smelling good’ (perfumes). In her later years, she enjoyed going on road trips/7-day cruises, playing dominoes, R&B/Hip-hop music, outdoor events/parties, movies, and the Dallas Cowboys.
Growing up in the Fort Worth area, she attended many schools within FWISD–Sagamore Hill Elementary, Meadowbrook Middle School, Eastern Hills High School, Polytechnic High School, and finally landing at Cassata Catholic High School where she graduated with her high school diploma. She attended several colleges and completed some college courses at campuses such as Tarrant County College.
Her character spoke volumes to those who had an opportunity to know and work alongside her in a work setting. She had spent 25 years (April 1997) at FedEx Ground (Village Creek), moving up the ranks from Package Handler (“Pick Off”) to her last position as an Operations Manager in the Quality Assurance department. Notably, she was hard working, a listening ear, selfless/good-natured, supportive, reliable, dedicated, and humble.
Tina was a caring girlfriend, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She is survived by her only child, Brittany Levingston; her mother, Alberta Levingston; her brothers, Chris Levingston (Carla Moore-Levingston) and Felix Jr.; her longtime boyfriend of 25 great years, Vastine “Trey” Mack III; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and close friends.
