Police kill 12 in special ops that freed 36 hostages

During several special operations in Gros-Morne, Artibonite and Croix-des-Bouquets near Port-au-Prince last week, police shot and killed a total of 12 suspected bandits, injured 13 others and freed 36 hostages. 

“We are more than determined to track down any individual seeking to cause harm to the population in order to place him out of harm’s way,” according to a Haitian National Police (PNH) media report.
