Frances graduated from Douglas High School, Sulphur Springs, Texas. She received a bachelor’s degree from Prairie View A&M University and a MBA from Texas Women’s University.

Frances had a life well-lived. Her bold personality was infectious, it came through as she greeted you with her beautiful smile and the offer of an encouraging word. We all know how much she loved the Lord, and her interaction with others was guided by the words from the Bible. There was no denying how much she loved people because she told you and it was felt through her warm embrace. If you needed a cheerleader, she was your greatest and wanted you to strive to be your best self. We are grateful for the beautiful memories we think of her.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to celebrate her life and carry out her legacy, her husband of 54 years, James E. McGill, her beloved and cherished daughter Sonja McGill, sister Imogene McGee, a host of love daughters, nieces, and nephews, cousins, colleagues, and friends.
