Tiffany Burks is an attorney, former prosecutor, and community advocate who is currently running for Tarrant County District Attorney. She began her legal career as an assistant district attorney in Fort Bend County before joining the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, where she spent more than 20 years and served as deputy chief over the criminal division. She is currently a partner and criminal division lead at Varghese Summersett PLLC. Burks previously ran for Tarrant County District Attorney in 2022. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and Government from the University of Texas at Austin and her Juris Doctor Degree from Texas Southern University in 1997.
