Sylvia Powers is a powerhouse. Her nonprofit, Celebrating Life Foundation, had persons battling breast cancer and many who’ve beaten the disease gather in celebration during the Pink Bag Event, in collaboration with United Breast Cancer Foundation, on Oct. 18, 2025 outside of Nordstrom Stonebriar Centre in Frisco, Texas.

Powers previously shared on social media how excited she was to deliver bags containing $500 worth of goodies to survivors. In addition to the gift bags, the pop-up event was full of activities, including treats, games and massages.
In the midst of cotton candy smiles, survivors swapped stories of diagnoses, treatment regimens, and number of years of being cancer-free.

The gift bag given to attendees was heavy, containing a box chock full of skincare products, cosmetics and makeup tools, socks and more. It also included a breast self-exam card that can be hung in the shower or on a door.

Powers is a warrior for persons impacted by breast cancer, no matter what stage they are battling. Her Celebrating Life Foundation provides valuable resources, helping others before, during and after the fight.
