
Dr. Rahmatu Kassimu is a Dallas-based public health educator, researcher, consultant, speaker, and founder of Dr. K.’s Health Minute. Her work focuses on health equity, Black maternal health, mental well-being, and culturally responsive education. Kassimu holds a Ph.D. in Health Studies, a Master of Public Health, and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership. She also serves as a university faculty member and dissertation coach, supporting educators and doctoral scholars. Kassimu is the co-editor of Navigating Black Maternal Mental Health and Well-Being and creator of the H.E.L.D. Protective Ecosystem Framework. Through education, research, consulting, and advocacy, she works to make public health information accessible and actionable.
