Harold was born April 11, 1945, in Marshall’s Corner/La Plata, MD, to Charles & Edith Viola Waters Taylor.

He attended schools in Charles County School Systems and was a graduate of Pomonkey High School Class of 1964 and has always maintained a love for accounting and learning. He was honorably discharged after accelerating to the rank of E-4. He became gainfully employed by the Federal Bureau of Printing & Engraving (BPE) in Washington DC as a Plate Printer from May 5, 1969, until 1991. He accepted a transfer and was relocated to the newly established BPE in Fort Worth, TX, April 1991, where he retired December 1998.

Harold was passionate about NFL football and was known to maintain and recall stats for many players, especially for his favorite team, the LA Rams NFL Football Team. During the 70’s he became a fan of the Seattle Supersonics NBA Basketball Team. When the Supersonics relocated to Oklahoma in 2008, they became the Oklahoma City Thunder NBA Basketball Team, and he continued to follow them.

His favorite hobby was gardening vegetables. Before declining health, you could find him planting and maintaining gardens wherever he found ground and took pride in sharing whatever he harvested. He also loved classic cars and enjoyed restoring his favorite, blue, 1968, T-Top Chevrolet Corvette, previously owned by his brother Rodney.
