Superb Woman: Lauren Anderson

Lauren Anderson made history in 1990 when she became the first African American principal ballerina at Houston Ballet. Born and raised in Houston, Anderson trained at Houston Ballet Academy. Known for her incredible athleticism and emotive performances, she became a beloved figure in the ballet world, captivating audiences in classical roles such as Cleopatra, Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, and the Sugar Plum Fairy.
