Two people died and another is in critical condition after a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning in Garland, according to police.

Officers responded about 6 a.m. to the 2200 block of Rowlett Road, near Roan Road, where a pickup crashed.

The truck was traveling east on Rowlett Road when it lost control and struck the guardrail, police said.

Two passengers ejected from the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. A third passenger was taken to the hospital in critical condition, police said.
