550 undergraduate and 76 graduate students will walk the stage, including the first-ever UNT Dallas student accepted into the JAMP (Joint Admission Medical Program) medical school admissions program
WHAT: With 626 undergraduate and graduate students being awarded diplomas, the University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) in southern Dallas will honor its spring 2024 class on Tuesday (May 14) with ceremonies at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Texas Trust CU Theatre at Grand Prairie.
Dallas Mavericks CEO Cynthia “Cynt” Marshall will serve as keynote speaker. As the first African American female CEO of an NBA franchise, Marshall is a trailblazer and champion of inclusion and diversity. She is also the founder, president and CEO of Marshalling Resources, a consulting firm specializing in leadership development, culture transformation and the optimization of people resources. Among her many accolades, Forbes named Marshall one of the world’s 15 most inspiring female leaders in 2021.
The 11 a.m. commencement will recognize graduates of the School of Business and School of Education, and the 3 p.m. commencement will recognize graduates of the School of Behavioral Health and Human Services and the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
This year marks the first time a UNT Dallas student has been accepted into the JAMP (Joint Admission Medical Program)medical school admissions program.
