The Hank Aaron Sports Academy is proud to announce that Alfred White of ABW Consulting, INC. has agreed to join the Board of Directors of the Legacy League. Alfred is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ABW Consulting, a sports management consulting practice with headquarters in Leawood, Kansas.
“It is an honor to be invited to the Board of Directors of the Legacy League,” said White. “The line-up of team owners is a venerable ‘who’s who’ that I look forward to working with!”
“Alfred has built a career in sports administration that few can compare with, and we welcome him to the Legacy League,” says Tim Bennett, Chief Executive Officer of the Hank Aaron Sports Academy and Commissioner of the Legacy League
Mr. White has served in a myriad of roles in athletics including 15 years on the NCAA national office staff, Commissioner of the Southern Conference, President of the Asheville Altitude (of the NBA Development League), and Senior Associate Commissioner for Conference USA. Prior to opening his consulting firm, Alfred was the Senior Director of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships for the College Football Playoff for six national championship games. He owns relationships with multiple major media outlets, is highly connected with corporate partners, and understands the unique dance that needs to be done during negotiations. Alfred also has strong experience in change management, strategic planning, event operations, merchandising and licensing, and marketing and promotions.
Notably, he has worked 15 NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four weekends, which certainly qualifies him for the task at hand at the Hank Aaron Sports Academy.
“Having him on the team is comparable to having our own Hall of Famer in the front office. He has a breadth of knowledge, dealing with every corner of the industry and has a flawless record. Having him on board means that our whole staff including myself will be much better and it increases our chances of success as we look to continue to uphold the Legacy of Henry Aaron and all that he stood for,” added Bennett.
