Southern Dallas community leader Marquis Hawkins will seek the Democratic nomination to be the next Representative of Texas State House District 100. Hawkins has a track record of success advocating for the community on issues such as public education, economic opportunity and equity.“I’m ready to fight for my friends and neighbors and stand up to the radical agenda of Greg Abbott and extremists who won’t help millions of Texans get healthcare, who do whatever they can to undermine our right to vote, who leave our infrastructure in disarray, and who seek to divide us with fringe issues instead of dealing with our challenges,” said Hawkins.
