FORT WORTH, Texas — Under the Friday night lights at Clark Stadium on Friday, Sept. 25, O.D. Wyatt High School celebrated a homecoming filled with school pride, family tradition and a commanding football victory. Alumni came from near and far to honor a 58-year legacy dating back to Wyatt’s first graduating class of 1968.

The stands reflected generations of Chaparral history. Alumni representing classes across the decades — from 1968 through 2025 — returned to celebrate the school they once called home. Throughout the stadium, families could be seen together whose O.D. Wyatt ties stretched across multiple generations, with parents, children, siblings and other relatives proudly representing their respective graduating classes.
On the field, the Chaparrals gave the homecoming crowd even more reason to celebrate. Head coach Antwan Criss and his coaching staff led O.D. Wyatt to a decisive 48-7 victory over Trimble Tech. The win moved the Chaparrals to 5-0 on the season, adding another memorable chapter to an already special homecoming night. The 5-0 start was celebrated as the program’s first since 1984.
Homecoming tradition took center stage at halftime as members of the royal court were introduced. Candidates for king and queen walked onto the field accompanied by their families, giving loved ones an opportunity to share in one of the evening’s signature moments.
The 2026 Homecoming King was announced as Sirr Legend Bell, No. 4 on the Chaparrals varsity football team. He was joined in the homecoming spotlight by Homecoming Queen Nallely Sanabria, as the court and their families shared the midfield celebration.
Yet one of the most anticipated homecoming traditions came after halftime, when former O.D. Wyatt band members joined the current band in the stands. Alumni musicians once again played alongside today’s Chaparrals, connecting generations through the sound and spirit of Wyatt.
Then came the alumni drumline. With sticks in hand and decades of memories behind them, former drumline members gave the current generation a taste of what the Wyatt sound was like in their day. The performance brought an electric response from the crowd as alumni and students celebrated together.
More than a football game, the evening became a reunion of families, classmates and generations. The atmosphere at Clark Stadium was jubilant — filled with music, memories, school colors and the shared pride of being a Chaparral. When the final whistle sounded, the scoreboard read O.D. Wyatt 48, Trimble Tech 7. But the lasting story of the night reached beyond the score: 58 years of O.D. Wyatt history gathered in one stadium, honoring the past, celebrating the present and passing Chaparral pride to the next generation.
