Cessilye R. Smith is an entrepreneur, maternal health advocate, and the founder and CEO of Abide Women’s Health Services. Established in South Dallas, Abide provides accessible prenatal and postpartum care and works to improve birth outcomes in underserved communities. Smith began her work as a doula and became focused on maternal health after learning about disparities affecting Black mothers and babies. Under her leadership, Abide has expanded its services and received recognition through United Way of Metropolitan Dallas’ The Pitch.
