Chandra Thomas Whitfield is a multi-award-winning, multi-media journalist The Clark Atlanta University alum has been honored by the Colorado Association of Black Journalists, Mental Health America and the Association for Women in Communications,, in addition to receiving “Journalist of the Year” honors from both the Atlanta Press Club and the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists. In addition to completing several prestigious journalism fellowships, including the Ted Scripps Environmental Journalism at the University of Colorado Boulder, Kiplinger Public Affairs Journalism at the Ohio State University, Soros Justice Media and Rosalynn Carter Mental Health Journalism programs, she also completed long-form journalism projects for the Education Writers Association and the Schuster Institute for Investigative Journalism at Brandeis University. The talented, creative Chandra is a long-time member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
