ATLANTA, GA — The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) is turning up the heat in Atlanta as thousands of Black journalists, media professionals, students, and industry leaders gather for the organization’s annual convention.
Nearly 3,900 attendees from across the country are expected to participate in this year’s conference, celebrating more than 50 years of NABJ’s commitment to strengthening Black media, developing the next generation of journalists, and ensuring that Black voices and stories are represented in newsrooms across America.
The convention brings together some of the nation’s most respected journalists, broadcasters, media executives, communications professionals, and emerging talent for several days of professional development, networking, thought-provoking discussions, and celebration.
From conversations about the rapidly changing media landscape to discussions about health, politics, culture, technology, and the future of journalism, Atlanta is serving as the backdrop for important conversations.
For more than five decades, NABJ has helped open doors, create opportunities, and advocate for greater representation of Black journalists throughout the media industry.
As thousands gather in Atlanta, the message is clear: Black journalists are not only documenting history, but they are also helping shape it.
