Elizabeth “Nette” Shipman, a beacon of light and love, passed away peacefully at home on July 20, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 2, 1972, in Fort Worth, Texas, Nette was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose nurturing spirit touched everyone she met.

She was the cherished daughter of the late Aaron Shipman Sr. and Velma Shipman. Preceded in death by her father and her brother, Sajan Shipman, Nette is survived by her devoted husband of 26 years, Jimmye Jamerson, whom she married on February 13, 2000. Together, they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and unwavering support for one another and their family.

Nette leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, Justise Jamerson, Melvin Goldman, Xavier Jamerson, Jimmye Jamerson Jr., Jazmine Jamerson, and Jason Jamerson, as well as her 12 treasured grandchildren. Her family was the center of her universe, and her pride and joy were evident in every moment she spent with them. She also leaves behind her dear mother-in-law, Mary Smith, and her siblings: Darren Minor, John Henry Marshall (Erma), Benjamin Shipman (Davonna), Marcus Shipman, Rochelle Sanders, Aaron Shipman, and Nevis Palmer.

A graduate of Eastern Hills High School, Class of 1990, Nette dedicated her life to creating a warm and loving home for her family. Her career journey included management roles at General Motors and the Walmart Distribution Center, but her most cherished role was that of caregiver to her family, extended family, and friends. Her home was a sanctuary for all—a place where no one was ever a stranger, and no one ever left hungry.

Nette was a woman of immense integrity, characterized by her sweet spirit, hard-working nature, and supportive personality. She was always there when needed, finding solutions to problems both big and small. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her generosity was felt far and wide. Elizabeth “Nette” Shipman was a rare soul whose love knew no limits, and her memory will forever be a guiding light for her family and friends To send flowers or plant a memorial tree in memory, please visit our flower store.
