This year is especially significant for Charletta Wilson Jacks. Not only does she celebrate 50 years as a member, but she also was recently installed as the International President & Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, leading an organization of more than 390,000 members dedicated to advancing “Service to All Mankind.” A Life Member, Legacy, and Golden member, she was initiated into the Gamma Upsilon Chapter of Savannah State University and later transferred to the Alpha Chapter at Howard University. She received her Master of Public Administration at Clark Atlanta University. She is the first African American female to serve as Atlanta’s Zoning Administrator, and she has served in numerous positions over 21 years. A true servant leader, President Jacks is dedicated and focused on her administration theme, “Championing Service. Empowering Sisterhood. Transforming the world.
