Cornelius S. Houston, a USPS letter carrier from Waxahachie, Texas, helped the Waxahachie Police Department find a missing little girl. Houston remembered seeing a child who looked just like the one in the photo. The child had been wandering through a wooded area along his mail route. Houston told the officers everything he had seen, and they rushed to search the woods. Their search paid off. And the child was found safe and sound. Houston was recognized as a Hero by the USPS’s Postmaster General Heroes’ Program.
