Parkland Health & Hospital System will host two mobile COVID-19 vaccination events this weekend in Dallas County. Individuals over the age of 16 can receive their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine without an appointment between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 1 at Sarah Zumwalt Middle School, 2445 E. Ledbetter Drive Dallas, 75216, or Sunday, May 2 between 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Jaycee Zaragoza Recreation Center, 3114 Clymer Street Dallas, 75212.
Individuals will need to bring a valid ID and minors must be accompanied by an adult.
“Traveling distance, lack of public transportation, and limited access to medical care can make it difficult for some people to get vaccinated against COVID-19,” said Herron Mitchell, Director of Operations-South Region for the Population Health Division at Parkland. “Getting vaccinated will not only protect you but also those around you. We hope bringing the vaccines to Dallas County neighborhoods will make it more convenient for residents. The more people who get vaccinated the closer we are to building herd immunity.”
Parkland will return to the sites at the same time on Saturday, May 22 and Sunday, May 23 to administer the second dose.
Individuals can also go to Parkland’s drive through vaccine sites at Ellis Davis Field House, 9191 S. Polk St., Dallas, 75232, or Dallas College-Eastfield Campus, 3737 Motley Dr., Mesquite, Dallas 75150 to receive their COVID-19 vaccination without an appointment between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday – Saturday. Both sites are open to those with an appointment from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The locations are closed on Sundays.
