OBIT: SONJA RENEE MALONE MCDONALD

Sonja Renee Malone McDonald, born on June 19, 1967, in Dallas, Texas, was an exceptional individual who left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. On July 10, 2025, she departed from this world, surrounded by love and cherished memories in her hometown of Dallas, TX.

Sonja was a person of deep faith, whose love for God was evident in her everyday life. Her infectious laughter and warm spirit brought joy to many, making her a beloved figure in her community. Sonja had a passion for entrepreneurship.  For fun, she loved to go to the casino, traveling with family and shopping for Coach purses, which was a delightful reflection of her vibrant personality.

Sonja was exceedingly proud of her role as a mother, grandmother. Her family was the cornerstone of her existence, and she was known for being incredibly supportive and motivating to those around her. Her family-oriented nature extended beyond her immediate family, as she had a unique ability to connect with everyone. Her line name for the Wisconsin Sleepers was Care Bear.  

Her wit and humor left an unforgettable imprint in the hearts of her loved ones, and her legacy of laughter and love will continue to shine brightly. Sonja’s generous spirit and unwavering support made her a beacon of strength and positivity for family and friends alike.

Visitation will be held at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, TX, on July 20, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service to honor her life will take place at Good Street Baptist Church, 3110 Bonnieview Rd, Dallas, TX, on July 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM.  Private Interment.

Sonja Malone McDonald will forever be remembered for the light she brought into the lives of many, her unwavering faith, and her enduring love for her family. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
