OBIT: CAMERON LA’DERRICK BUCKLEY

Cameron La’Derrick Buckley, beloved husband, devoted father, son, and loyal friend, passed away on June 16, 2025, after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was 35 years old.

Born on August 29, 1989, in Fort Worth, Texas, Cameron lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep love, and unwavering integrity. He graduated from York College with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, where he also played collegiate basketball. A game he loved and played with the same calm determination that he brought to every aspect of his life.

During his college years at York College, Cameron’s path crossed with Sarah, a spirited Nebraska woman whose warmth and resilience matched his own. Their shared moments blossomed into a love story that would define Cameron’s most cherished years. Together, they built a life grounded in mutual respect, unwavering support, and a profound commitment to each other.

On December 18, 2021, Cameron and Sarah welcomed their son, Nash La’Derrick Buckley, into the world. The greatest joy of Cameron’s life. Becoming a father was, without question, the most meaningful and fulfilling role he ever embraced. He poured his heart into fatherhood with quiet devotion and fierce love, finding purpose and joy in every moment with his son.

Cameron was a man of few words but a powerful presence. His gentle spirit, strong character, and steady heart made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He loved his family and friends deeply and showed that love not through grand gestures, but through everyday acts of loyalty, kindness, and care.

He is survived by his father, Freddie Buckley, brothers Byron Buckley and Bryan Buckley; loving wife, Sarah Buckley; and their precious 3-year-old son, Nash La’Derrick Buckley. Preceded in death by his mother, Jackolyn Buckley. Cameron was an incredible husband, father, and son. A rock for his family, always present, always giving, always leading with love.

Cameron’s life was a testament to quiet faith, fierce devotion, and a heart that beat for those he loved. Though he left this world too soon, his legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he cherished, and the love that will never fade.

He will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever loved.
