OBIT: REVA MAE HOLLINS

Reva Mae Hollins, a cherished matriarch and beloved member of the Dallas community, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025, in Mesquite, Texas. She was born on February 14, 1933, in Ladonia, Texas, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and an indomitable spirit.

Reva was known for her fiery personality, often described as feisty and outspoken, yet she possessed a heart that was equally generous and kind. Her friends and family fondly remember her as a peacemaker who always knew how to bring people together. She had a unique ability to touch the lives of those around her with sweetness and warmth, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Throughout her life, Reva embraced a variety of interests that brought her immense joy. She was an avid fan of basketball and football, An avid  Dallas Cowboys Fan, and her spirited engagement in these sports inspired those who shared in her enthusiasm. Additionally, she enjoyed ceramics, bingo, and visits to the casino, where her vibrant energy was infectious.

Among her proudest accomplishments were her family, particularly the joy she found in her grandchildren. Reva’s generous spirit and loving nature were evident in her interactions with them, fostering bonds that will undoubtedly carry on through generations. A wake service is scheduled for May 4, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas, 75224. A funeral service will take place the following day, May 5, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM at St. Paul MBC, located at 1600 Pear Street, Dallas, Texas, 75215.

Reva Mae Hollins leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and joyous memories that will forever be held dear in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives she has touched.
