Terry Luwanda Normore, born on March 25, 1961, in Wichita, Kansas, passed away on April 10, 2025, in DeSoto, Texas. Her life was a testament to the power of education and community involvement, marked by a remarkable career as a teacher and coach.

Terry dedicated her life to inspiring others through her passion for teaching. Known for her motivating and helpful nature, she empowered countless students to reach their full potential. Her commitment to education was matched by her dedication to fostering a supportive community, and her influence extended well beyond the classroom.

A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Terry’s accomplishments were numerous, but it was her unwavering spirit and dedication to uplifting others that left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Terry’s legacy will be celebrated with a viewing on April 24, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. A funeral service honoring her life and contributions will take place the following day, April 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Friendship West Baptist Church, located at 2020 West Wheatland Road, Dallas, TX 75232.

Terry Luwanda Normore will be remembered as an inspiring figure, whose legacy of motivation and kindness continues to resonate through the lives she touched.
